This Hasegawa Chopping Board is made in Japan from a self-healing plastic elastomer, or synthetic rubber, with a wood core. The wood keeps the board rigid and 30-50% lighter than other solid plastic cutting boards, while the plastic/synthetic rubber provides durability and reduces wear and tear on the knife. The surface texture prevents delicate ingredients from moving while cutting, making it perfect for sashimi and sushi. Further, the boards are treated with ionised silver to deliver anti-bacterial protection.
