Spun iron wok lid with a wooden knob designed to complement the Netherton Foundry Wok (33cm).
---DETAILS--- Like its matching Netherton Foundry Wok, this iron lid is spun to a considerable thinness and is thus light to hold. The domed shape improves moisture-retention, as it allows condensation to drip back into the wok. The excellent heat-retaining capabilities of black iron will help retain the heat even more, making the wok-lid setup ideal for slow, gentle cooking. The knob is hand-turned oak, and will stay cool while the rest of the lid heats up.
Note: This lid should be seasoned before use, to repel rust and fortify the layer of seasoning. This layer should be regularly maintained. Read our instructions on how to season and maintain spun iron cookware, and why it's worth it, in our guide.
---BENEFITS--- ‘The lid is super handy for steaming dumplings. I give them a quick fry in oil with the wok uncovered, then add a little water and cover—they’re done in just a few minutes.’
